Playaz turns 30 and Broken Minds celebrate at the Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath with label boss DJ Hype and DJ Hazard, Birmingham's own Playaz signing. Hype founded Ganja Records in 1994 and runs Playaz with Pascal; Hazard was spotted by Hype and went on to Busted and Mr Happy, both UK indie chart entries. Tyke and Daddy Earl are on the mic, and Broken Minds co-promoter DJ Escape plays too. The upstairs rooms are standing only; doors 9pm, last entry 12:30am, tickets from £15, 18+, with the 50 and 35 buses stopping outside.
