Hare And Hounds Kings Heath

106 High Street, Kings Heath, Birmingham, B14 7JZ

The Hare and Hounds is a Grade II listed pub at 106 High Street in Kings Heath, rebuilt in its present form in 1907, with Art Nouveau tiling on the York Road entrance and staircase. UB40 played their first gig here in 1979, marked by a PRS heritage plaque, and Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding and Basement Jaxx all passed through on the way up. Shows happen upstairs in two standing rooms, V1 for 250 and V2 for 150, each with its own bar, while the ground floor pub serves food and drink beforehand. Programming covers jazz, indie, reggae, hip hop and house, and drum and bass comes mainly through local promoter Broken Minds, whose D&B and jungle nights have brought Benny L and a Function Records showcase. It runs until 3am at weekends, buses 50 and 35 stop outside, and there is free street parking on the surrounding roads.

Hare And Hounds Kings Heath has 3 upcoming drum & bass event(s) on DNBRAVE.
