Colour Factory takes up a unit in Queen's Yard, Hackney Wick, with three spaces: The Factory, a step-free ground-floor main room; The Mezz, an upstairs room and balcony bar reached by about fifteen stairs; and an outdoor garden. Programming swings between live bands and club nights, and the downstairs floor is big enough for a real crowd while still feeling close to the stage. UKF and Subsonic join forces for Frequencies, a midweek drum and bass showcase featuring Subsonic, CK3, Elipsa NZ and Particle. Regulars rate the sound but note that queues can build at the door, the cloakroom and the toilets at peak times, so arrive in good time. Hackney Wick Overground station is directly outside the yard, which makes getting home easy.
