Bank De Leon

9 Lichfield street, Wolverhampton, Wv1 1ea

Number 9 Lichfield Street opened around 1910 as a branch of the Midland Bank, and the Grade II listed Edwardian building kept banking for decades before a later spell as the Diffusion clothing shop. A £1.5 million conversion reopened it in 2022 as Bank, a restaurant and entertainment space planned for 140 diners plus 200 standing, and it now trades as Bank de Léon, cooking Caribbean food from its Jerk and Sizzle kitchen. Most of the week belongs to dining and live music, with jazz, reggae and soul nights, and diners keep returning for the jerk chicken, oxtail and curry goat. Drum and bass arrives through The Jungle Jam, headlined by Bryan Gee, the V Recordings co-founder who has championed jungle since the label began in the early 1990s. Book a table and eat before the dancing starts; Wolverhampton railway station is within walking distance.

Bank De Leon has 1 upcoming drum & bass event(s) on DNBRAVE.
