LOHZ, a Bristol collective started by a group of former freshers, open the new term with a free drum and bass session at The Crown on Thursday 10 September, with Fuze headlining and a supporting cast the promoters have not named. LOHZ normally run multi genre takeovers spanning speed garage, dubstep and D&B, so a straight drum and bass night from them is a deliberate freshers pitch. The room is the pub's basement club, listed at around 100 capacity, which explains the limited ticket warning: it fills fast and sells out on small numbers. Doors are 10pm with the music on until 3am, and the free entry pub upstairs runs a happy hour from 4pm to 8pm for anyone wanting to settle in first. The Crown is off Corn Street by St Nicholas Market, a short walk from the Centre for night buses.
