Curves calls itself the longest running drum and bass night in the North East, never run for profit, and its November party gives Jubei a two hour set. Paul Ager came through on Emcee Recordings before Goldie signed him exclusively to Metalheadz, where his album To Have & Have Not featured dBridge, Marcus Intalex and Goldie; he has also held a residency at Newcastle's Turbulence and now runs Carbon Music. Tyrone and the Curves residents fill the rest of the night. The Lubber Fiend on Blandford Street is a non profit DIY venue for around 140, with a Funktion-One rig. Doors 11pm, £9.
Genres: Drum & Bass
