Tim Reaper
Genres: Jungle, Drum & Bass
London producer and DJ Ed Alloh, known as Tim Reaper, is one of the names most closely tied to jungle's revival from the late 2010s onward. He discovered the genre as a teenager through an Andy C mix CD, then taught himself its history through 90s imprints like Suburban Base, Moving Shadow and Reinforced, and that grounding shows in his chopped breaks and warm early era atmospherics. His records have landed on Uncertain Hour, Unknown to the Unknown, Green Bay Wax, Skeleton Recordings and Suburban Base, plus the Globex Corp releases made with Dwarde. In 2020 he founded Future Retro London, which started as a club night idea and grew into a prolific label with its collaborative Meeting of the Minds series, earning Breakthrough Label at DJ Mag's 2021 Best of British awards. In Full Effect, his 2024 album with Australian producer Kloke, was Hyperdub's first jungle full-length in around twenty years. Since lockdown he has also played vinyl sets rich in 90s records, and he has toured Europe, the US and Asia.
Tim Reaper has 7 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
