Sully
Genres: Jungle, Techstep, Drum & Bass, Breakbeat
Norwich producer Jack Stevens, who records as Sully, grew up around the free party scene and first surfaced in the late 2000s with dubstep and garage tracks that borrowed from UK funky and footwork. Two albums on Keysound, Carrier in 2011 and Escape in 2017, tracked a move towards jungle, and in 2018 he started Uncertain Hour to release his own records. Further work has appeared on Astrophonica (Swandive, 2020), Over/Shadow, Foxy Jangle and Rupture. In 2025 Model Collapse became the first artist release on the new FABRICLIVE label, a caustic cut that crosses acid tekno with techstep weight. What sets his productions apart is how he handles the breakbeat, pitching and phasing drums inside the Renoise tracker so they behave almost like a melody, which keeps his jungle forward looking rather than a revival exercise. Expect fast, break driven selections when he plays out.
Sully has 6 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
