Spectral is a Bristol-based DJ and producer who was picked for EQ50, the mentoring scheme tackling gender inequality in drum and bass, in 2020. That led to Critical Music, where Kasra guided her debut, Binary Vol.27, a four-track EP of moody, deep drum and bass (Crazy, Submerge, Void and Ikigai), and she has since teamed up with Enei on Pixelate for the label. Critical describes her style as intricate rhythms and deep basslines, while her DJ sets are high energy, mixing drum and bass and jungle with dubstep and grime across tempos. She is a resident at The One Forty Club in Bristol, holds shows on Kool FM, SWU FM and Rinse FM, and has played Fabric, Printworks and Glastonbury as well as dates across Europe.
