REME-D is Jacqueline Francesca, a drum and bass DJ from Macclesfield who has become the town's best known D&B figure through free entry charity gigs. She started DJing as a teenager, mixes D&B with some house, and since 2018 has run roughly five fundraisers a year, first at The Swan with Two Necks on Chestergate and later at NO. 8 DUKES and Dukebox, waiving her fee and raising over 3,000 pounds for Mental Health UK, Refuge, Dogs Trust, Alder Hey, Breast Cancer Now and a local defibrillator fund. SURGE is her event brand, co-run with DJ SLIMMY, which has staged an all female lineup for Refuge and a multi genre night called Synergy. She also plays Melrose Avenue on Mill Street and has been profiled twice by Macclesfield Nub News.
