Mr Traumatik
Genres: Jump-Up, Drum & Bass
Cardiff MC Marcus Coakley has been releasing his own records as Mr Traumatik since 2010 and has built a cult following on the jump-up circuit. His flow sits as comfortably on grime as on drum and bass, and his lyrics have always courted controversy, often leaning into esoteric and conspiracy-minded territory, as titles like Stratospheric Aerosol Injection and Dimethyltryptamatik suggest. Unusually for a D&B MC he works in albums, with a catalogue running from the three Traumatised volumes through Post Traumatik Stress Disorder and My Family Thinks Im Crazy (2023) to Omnipresence, a more spiritual record released later that same year. He was one of the vocalists on the 2022 version of Vibe Chemistry's Balling alongside Songer, Devilman and OneDa, and recent singles have come out on Multidimensional Music and Debunked Records with producers such as Frenzee and Temple. On stage he is a frontman rather than a background host, touring his own shows with collaborators such as Elro.
Mr Traumatik has 4 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
