Michael Hitches grew up in Essex and fell for drum and bass at London's underground raves in the mid 2000s, yet his first releases only arrived in 2017, after stints as a plumber, heating engineer and post production sound engineer. Those early tunes were deeper, closer to liquid. Things shifted under the guidance of Serum, whose Souped Up label became his home, and Ladykillaz in 2020 won him an international audience. Hands In The Air VIP, High Energy, Run and Party Muscle followed, with releases on Serial Killaz, V Recordings, Rinse and Hospital Records. As Mozey he makes euphoric, dancefloor first jump up that borrows the rush of old school hardcore. Serum is a regular back to back partner and Hedex a studio collaborator. A DnB Allstars 360 set at The Cause lifted his profile sharply, and he has since toured Australia and New Zealand with Chase & Status, North America with Hedex and the UK on his own High Energy tour, with Glastonbury, Parklife and Boomtown along the way.
