Kirsty Hawkshaw
Kirsty Hawkshaw is a London-born vocalist who first came to attention fronting the early 90s dance group Opus III, whose It's a Fine Day (1992) was a UK top 10 hit and a US dance club number one. Her voice from that record, reversed, runs through Orbital's Halcyon, and she went on to sing on BT's Dreaming, Tiesto's Urban Train and Just Be, and Way Out West's Stealth, alongside solo albums including the ambient The Ice Castle (2008). Her drum and bass connection is through Adam F, her husband: together they set up 181 Recordings, home to his Colours reboots, she sang a re-recorded The Tree Knows Everything on Colours Revisited, and the pair are co-writing the follow up, Return to Colours. On the Circles Revisited tour she sings with Adam F's live band alongside MC Harry Shotta.
Kirsty Hawkshaw has 5 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
