Flava D
Genres: Drum & Bass, Bassline, UK Garage
Flava D is Danielle Gooding, a producer, DJ and radio presenter born in Bournemouth who grew up between there and Birmingham. She came through making grime instrumentals, which led to releases with Wiley, before Elijah and Skilliam's Butterz label put out her debut, Hold On. Her catalogue since has moved freely between UK garage, bassline and grime: the In The Dance EP on Formula, the More Love albums, and the TQD project with Royal-T and DJ Q, whose album UKG landed in 2017. For her FabricLive.88 mix she produced around nine tenths of the music herself. In 2020 she signed to Hospital Records, where Human Trumpet, Mesmerize, All We Ever and Here & Now carried her into drum and bass, alongside collaborations with Friction and Redlight. That range is why she turns up on garage, dubstep and drum and bass lineups alike.
Flava D has 1 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
