Ego trippin
Genres: Jump-Up, Drum & Bass
Matt and Ian have worked as Ego Trippin since 2001, a jump-up partnership rooted in the Essex, Kent and London corridor and in DJ careers that go back to the early jungle years. Their records are heavy and playful at once, built from sci-fi and funk samples with hip hop, disco, rare groove, electro and reggae dug out of their crates. They release on their own Super Lit imprint as well as Hi Def, with an appearance on Low Down Deep. The album Whompin Ain't Easy came out as a run of EPs from November 2024, featuring MC Iffy and MC Shaydee, and its title track went to number one on JunoDownload. They also sell dubpacks and sample packs direct through their own site.
Ego trippin has 1 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
