Dogger
Genres: Liquid, Drum & Bass
Dogger is Rob Smith, a Mancunian producer and DJ based in London who makes liquid drum and bass steeped in soul: melody-forward and stripped back, with hip hop and live-instrument influences. The debut Broken Home EP came out on Alix Perez's 1985 Music in 2019, co-written with production partner Mindstate and with vocals from Liam Bailey, alongside TMWFTE with DRS. Further releases have followed on V Recordings, Shogun Audio, The North Quarter, where the Different Roads EP with Mindstate appeared, and Drum&BassArena. He runs the Precinct label, home to Mindstate, Funktional, Tyler Daley, Zed Bias and Chimpo among others, and hosts the Precinct Show on Rinse FM. A long-time friend and DJ for Manchester MC DRS, the two perform together as DRS In Session featuring Dogger.
Dogger has 2 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
