Sheffield MC and producer Coco made his name in grime before taking his flow to drum and bass. He started producing young, came through the local crews All Out Krew and M3, and broke out in 2015 after linking up with fellow Sheffield native Toddla T, whose STEEZE imprint put out his largely self-produced No Rehearsal EP. Target Practice and Big Bou Yah drew support across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, and his one-take Fire In The Booth for Charlie Sloth aired on Boxing Day. AJ Tracy, Nadia Rose and Conducta are among those he has worked with. His best-known drum and bass record is Stan Smith with Alcemist, released on DnB Allstars in 2022, and the two still share stages. On the mic he keeps the quick, punchline-heavy style grime crowds first knew him for, riding the drops rather than talking over them.
