Bryan Gee

Genres: Jungle, Liquid

Bryan Gee caught the DJ bug growing up in Cheltenham within a tight Jamaican community steeped in sound system culture. Reggae was his first love, and by his early teens he was selecting for local sound system Challenger. A move to Brixton in the early 1980s brought new musical horizons -- he discovered acid house, forged a legendary partnership with Jumping Jack Frost on pirate stations Quest FM and Passion, and landed a role at the Rhythm King label offshoot Outer Rhythm, where he helped launch the careers of artists like Leftfield and Moby. In 1993, Bryan and Jumping Jack Frost founded V Recordings, a label that would become one of the most revered names in drum and bass. V was instrumental in breaking through some of the genres most celebrated talents, including Roni Size, Krust, and Die. As the V empire expanded to include sub-labels Chronic, Philly Blunt, and Liquid V, Bryan maintained an unwavering commitment to quality that became a hallmark of everything carrying the V stamp. Known around the world as the label boss with the trademark wide grin and an infectious love for his craft, Bryan Gee continues to spread musical inspiration through his long-running Bassdrive radio show, the V Recordings podcast, and packed-out DJ sets at clubs and festivals globally. His ear for talent and dedication to nurturing artists has shaped the careers of countless producers, making him one of the most important figures in the history of drum and bass.

Bryan Gee has 3 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
