Born on Road is a Bristol-based record label and DJ collective that sits firmly at the heart of the drum and bass and jungle underground. Founded in late 2012 by seasoned jungle veteran Aries and young talent Kelvin 373 -- who grew up on the free party circuit -- the imprint was built on the free-flowing energy of sound system culture. From the start, their philosophy has been refreshingly simple: if they vibe with it, they will champion it, whether that means jungle, jump up, ragga, or sublime vocal work. Over the years, Born on Road has become a launchpad for some of the most exciting names in the scene, backing and breaking acts like Selecta J Man, AC13, Crossy, Bish, Gray, Lupo, Jappa, Gold Dubs, and Euphonique. The label took home Best Label at the Drum and Bass Arena Awards in 2022 -- the first imprint to claim that honour in years outside of heavyweights Hospital and RAM Records. Their releases consistently capture the raw, bass-heavy spirit of the sound system while pushing the music forward. Their yearly touring schedule is packed with takeovers at major festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown, and Hospitality On The Beach, and their events are renowned for their inclusive, high-energy atmosphere.
