Bladerunner

Genres: Rollers

Growing up in East Anglia, Devan Gray fell in love with jungle music in the mid-1990s, following in the footsteps of his father -- reggae artist and Radio 1 DJ The Man Ezeke. Working under the name Bladerunner, he taught himself production by painstakingly recreating jungle classics from raw samples, building a deep understanding of the genre from the ground up. His relentless dedication to the craft paid off in 2004 when the legendary Ray Keith spotted his talent and signed him to Dread Recordings. That Dread deal proved pivotal. Bladerunner was entrusted with remixing some of the labels most iconic tracks, including "Renegade Terrorist," "The Chopper," and "Dark Soldier," earning respect from the old guard and new listeners alike. His 2009 debut album Analog Bass showcased a producer operating at the intersection of classic jungle warmth and modern drum and bass precision, leading to further high-profile remix work for DJ SS on Formation Records and tracks alongside Randall and Andy C. Bladerunner has become a respected name on the global circuit, celebrated for his signature rolling basslines, crisp percussion, and deep atmospheric textures. He remains a regular fixture at major events including Boomtown, Glastonbury, and Hospitality, delivering sets that honour the roots of jungle while pushing the sound forward with every appearance.

Bladerunner has 3 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
