Bailey Intabeats
Genres: Liquid, Jungle, Techstep, Drum & Bass
Bailey's route into drum and bass ran through hip hop, electro and acid house. Around 1991 he was mixing on Energy FM, a weekend pirate run out of a block of flats in Norwood, and Kemistry and Storm, who had been tuning in, brought him into Metalheadz, where he held a residency through the Blue Note Sunday sessions and carried records for Grooverider as tech step was taking shape. In 2002 he joined BBC Radio 1Xtra at launch and spent about a decade as its drum and bass presenter, later broadcasting on Ministry of Sound Radio and now Kool FM. He founded Intabeats, a party brand built around midweek nights in small, unusual inner-city spaces, and curates his own night at Sun and Bass each year. As a producer he has released on Metalheadz, Dispatch, C.I.A and Full Cycle, with Know Yourself and Step 303 on Precinct and a 2025 EP, Echoes from the Midwest, on Sunandbass Recordings. His sets favour deep, darker and less obvious tunes over whatever is charting.
Bailey Intabeats has 1 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
