A fixture in the drum and bass underground since the early 1990s, Ant TC1 began DJing on pirate radio and in clubs at just 14 years old. In 2001, he co-founded Dispatch Recordings alongside Hidden Agenda, initially handling the management side of the label before transitioning into production. After nearly three years of honing his sound, he dropped his first release on Dispatch alongside frequent collaborator Stress Level, and the pair went on to appear on a raft of respected imprints including Renegade, CIA, Critical, Commercial Suicide, and Good Looking Records. His production style sits firmly in the deep, rolling, and technical end of drum and bass -- atmospheric builds, meticulous sound design, and dancefloor weight delivered with subtlety rather than brute force. In 2014, he secured his first release on the legendary Metalheadz label with "Hungry For Atmosphere" alongside Mako, DLR, and Villem, a milestone that cemented his standing among the genre's elite. By 2017, Ant had taken on label management duties for both Dispatch Recordings and Goldie's Metalheadz, making him one of the most influential behind-the-scenes figures in the scene. Now based in Thailand with a purpose-built studio, he continues to steer two of drum and bass's most storied labels while maintaining a consistent output as a DJ and producer, bridging decades of the culture with a forward-thinking vision.
