Alex Mark Calvert -- whose initials gave him his stage name -- is a drum and bass DJ and producer who came up the hard way, cutting his teeth on dubplates and vinyl in the mid-2000s. One of the last graduates of the dubplate culture that defined early jungle and drum and bass, A.M.C learned his craft through obsessive practice and a deep respect for the art of DJing. By 2007, he had begun making waves on the UK circuit, quickly earning a reputation as one of the most technically gifted selectors in the game. As the founder of Titan Records, established in 2011, A.M.C built a platform dedicated to nurturing the next generation of drum and bass talent while maintaining the genres notoriously high production standards. His own productions sit firmly in the heavyweight camp -- rolling, precise, and engineered for maximum dancefloor impact. But it is behind the decks where he truly excels, pioneering the use of four-deck mixing in drum and bass and pushing the boundaries of what a live DJ performance can be. His technical prowess has earned him Best DJ titles at both the Czech and Portuguese Drum and Bass Awards, beating established names like Andy C and Friction.
